Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for governance of our school, working on behalf of all stakeholders. The Board’s key responsibilities include:
  • Establishing and reviewing the School Charter including Mission, Vision, Values
  • Approving and monitoring progress in the Annual Plan
  • Developing and monitoring the implementation of school policy
  • Asset management and enhancement including finance and property
  • Monitoring and enhancing student learning outcomes
  • Being a good employer, specifically including appointing, supporting professional development and appraising of the Principal.
The Principal is responsible for managing day-to-day operation of the school.

Kohimarama School holds full-term and mid-term (staggered) elections every eighteen months, when half of the parent representatives are elected at each of those two elections, for a 3 year term.

Board meetings are usually held on the last Monday of every month in the main office, starting at 6.30pm.

Meetings are open to the public and parents are welcome to attend as observers.

Notice of Board Meetings are published in the School Newsletter.

Board Newsletters are published at the end of every term, highlighting progress of key BOT projects and activities.
